Introduction
The value of education for children's future growth and development hasrenderedit a top priority in this knowledge-oriented society. In these circumstances, it is challenging to arrive at a completeconsensuson whether or not children ought to schedule their own free-time activities.

开年第一场纸笔考试,写作整体难度并不大,大作文是比较中规中矩的一个教育类旧话题,针对教育方式,对比“有组织的活动”与“自由活动”对孩子的影响;
- render v.使成为,使处于某种状态;
- consensus n.一致看法,共识;
译文参考:教育对孩子未来成长和发展的价值已经使其成为这个知识导向社会中的首要任务。在这种情况下,对于孩子是否应该安排自己的业余活动,很难达成完全的共识。
Body 1
Unstructured free childhood activities grant a child the chance to develop responsibility, independence, confidence and competence. Children, if encouraged to make up their own decisions, are bound to learn tomull overthepros and consof a problem,bravethe challenges and bear the consequences of their actions. Meanwhile, organizing activities on their own can transform children from passive receivers to active explorers. A free choice allows children to reflect on their own preferences and passions, prompting their self awareness and developing a strong sense of identity.

(1) 无组织的自由童年活动赋予孩子发展责任感、独立性、自信和能力的机会;

- mull over v.深思熟虑:仔细或反复思考某事物;

- brave v.勇敢面对;
Body 2
However, children, who are still immature, are prone to be involved in thrilling butperilousactivities withoutfactoring in direconsequences. In other words, if the juvenile are givenunfetteredfreedom to do as they choose such asbinge drinkingbecause of curiosity, they may becomeembroiledin alcoholic problems. Conversely, with well-considered activities, the young can ensure physical health and nurturesought-afterpersonalities. For example, children are usually arranged to play basketball several times a week, which not only hones skills of interpersonal communication and cooperation with peers, but also builds up kids’ bodies. By this token, the young can nurture good qualities and guarantee health if parents arrange well-organized activities for the next generation's leisure time.
解析
(1) 不成熟的儿童容易参与刺激但危险的活动;
(2) 参加经过精心考虑的活动,孩子们可以确保身体健康,培养完善的性格特征;

- factoring in v. 将…计入;将…考虑进去;
- dire adj.极其严重的,极可怕的;
- unfettered adj.无拘无束的;

Conclusion
My stance is that activities are indispensable in the course of children’s growth, but parents also should be aware where it is necessary to give room to kids. It would also beludicrousto give kids complete freedom and allow them do anything they want because they need to be taught their boundaries and are not yet old enough to handleintricatesituations.

- intricate adj.错综复杂的;难理解的;
